MSBA Process Questions:

What are the steps required by the state to fund a new school building or renovate the existing building?  Where are we in the process?

1.	The submittal of a Statement of Interest to MSBA (7/07)
2.	MSBA evaluation of SOI and invitation to conduct a Feasibility Study (Fall/07)
3.	Approval for moving forward with project and an appropriation of funds to conduct the Feasibility/Schematic Design Phase (Spring/08)
4.	Selection of Owner’s Project Manager (11/08)
5.	Selection of Designer (Architect)  (1/09)
6.	Conduct Feasibility Study and development of Schematic Design (Summer-Fall 09)
7.	Approval by Town for project design and construction funding (May 2010)
8.	Conduct Detail Design, select contractor, begin construction (late 2010 or early 2011)

We have completed steps 1-7.  The project was approved by both towns in mid May. We have begun the detailed design and construction phase, and expect to break ground in Spring 2011.
